Best Neighbourhood Gem Restaurants in Kamuela

We travel to Hawaii every year from the East Coast, and always look forward to dinner at Merriman’s. We love the farm to table concept, as it supports the local farmers, and the pictures on the walls celebrate the collaboration with the local farmers. During our most recent visit, my husband and I shared the Spicy Kona Lobster Ravioli as a starter. It does have a bit of a kick; add a couple more ravioli to the dish, and it could be an entree. The Catch of the Day was MahiMahi under a phyllo dough, in a delicious sauce, accompanied by two jumbo shrimp. The Hillbilly Cornbread was also a nice addition to the meal. We still had some room for dessert, so we shared the Pineapple Macadamia Nut Bread Pudding, in a Butter Rum sauce with house made vanilla ice cream. The atmosphere is relaxed, the service is not rushed. The staff is pleasant and attentive. We look forward to a return trip.

The true measure of a restaurant is how they perform under pressure. Dinner at a packed Fish Hopper for Valentine’s Day brought the four of us a five star experience. Delicious food, memorable ambiance and ultra friendly and professional service. Highly recommended.

We had a very good experience at WSW breakfast. Food was served quickly, awesome waitress, great amount of food for the price. We will definitely be back 💜

Another wonderful evening! We had our favorite table waiting even though it was very busy and Malia our fabulous server! We had the mahi mahi and lamb and an exceptional sushi roll made by the sushi chef (thank you!) and dessert… thanks again for the lovely hospitality and delicious food!
