I've been going to HaiSous since it opened and it always delivers. The food, service and ambiance remain at a high level. I recently hosted two tables - one with my teenage son's friends and another with adults. If you're new to HaiSous, you definitely do not want to miss out on the whole fluke, fried oysters, and papaya salad. The fried rice seems like a basic option but HaiSous's version is my all-time fav. What a treasure for the Chicago dining scene and promoting Vietnamese culture in general. Bravo!

The food was as fabulous as I expected the cuisine to be. All the flavors were complex and on point. We will definitely be back the next time we are visiting Chicago! P.S. Our server Gary was fantastic, and thanks to Greta for allowing us to change our arrival time from 7:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.!

Phenomenal dining experience, and our first time in Chicago. Bourbon Mussels were to die for, wagyu tartare was so fresh. Scallops & sea bass entrees delightful. Drinks were superb, we enjoyed a few Franklin Room Old Fashioneds (husband said they are now one of his favorites ever), and Long Train to Fresno (barely sweet, hint of spice, so refreshing). Service was great, Gene was a delight to chat with. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary, and Gene brought us complimentary sips and dessert.
