Best Neighbourhood Gem Restaurants in San Marcos

We were celebrating a birthday and the staff made sure to make it feel extra special. We sat at the bar but it still felt intimate and we’re able to still talk to each other. Every dish we ordered was excellent. The octopus dish was the most memorable. Do not skip dessert. The olive cake is a top dessert in ATX for me. Great service and honestly well worth the price.

Fantastic service and food! The espresso crème brûlée was one of the best desserts I’ve ever had.

There were 12 different kinds of oysters! Quality on every plate! Cocktails were tops!!

We had a fabulous evening celebrating our anniversary at Emmer & Rye! Sarah was the penultimate server. Her recommendations were spot on. The wagyu carpaccio, broccoli, and pappardelle with smoked wagyu were out of this world! This place is a neighborhood gem!!!

Price took such good care to be sure we had everything we wanted. The food was great! Such a special place for us! The fruits de mer was very good and so were the dressed oysters and of course the mussels and clams sauce was out of this world!!! The snapper and grits was also superb!! Cocktails not quite as snazzy as they used to be. Not super cold as a good shaken or stirred drink should be. No frost! Loved the little lime twirl on my cosmo though! But we still had a fabulous time!! ! Thank you!!!!
