Best Neighbourhood Gem Restaurants in St. Charles

Too crowded, too many tables, but in fairness, my wife and adult children do not agree. The staff and owners are FANTASTIC!

Great place to go especially before a concert downstairs. Not a huge menu but that's NOT a bad thing. The food is very good. There is an old school bar adjacent to the restaurant with great drinks.

This was our second year in a row, but third Thanksgiving dining at this Cooperhawk. Our family really enjoyed the food, the music was great as well. Our server was Aden, and he was excellent. I don’t take the time often to leave a review but Balmoral truly impressed! Relaxing ambience, classy and casual at the same time. Service was perfect, should out to Connor! Let’s get to the food! Scotch egg to start…best we’ve had! Not an easy feat but the chef did it perfectly. Husband had Lamb Shank, perfectly cooked and the gravy was something to write home about! WOW! I had the rainbow trout that was seasoned and cooked to perfection as well. Sides were great! Highly recommend the sticky toffee pudding for dessert, even if you have to take some home. We will be back! Please try Balmoral…great special dinner for date night, friends or family! Bagpipe a special touch!
