A Family Tradition For Over 90 YearsMrs. Knott’s Chicken Dinner Restaurant first opened in 1934 with Mrs. Knott and her children serving the first customers in their tea room. The restaurant has grown over the years into one of the largest in California, but the classic fried chicken dinner is still made the same way today using Mrs. Knott's recipes. My family & I went to Black Angus in Whittier for the Traditional Thanksgiving Feast… It did NOT disappoint! First of all was the excellent service & attention from our Server, Jessica! She was an absolute delight from start to finish. Is a home cooked Thanksgiving feast better??? Debatable for sure, but the Black Angus Feast was absolutely delightful & fresh & complete in every way — From appetizing soup or salad to the perfect ending of delicious pumpkin pie with the perfect dollop of whipped cream. I think we have a new family tradition!

When my family from Arizona visit, this is their requested restaurant. It’s amazing in every way. The hand made pasta, fresh ingredients and attention to every detail is amazing. This time our table had lasagna, salmon risotto, spaghetti with delicious meatballs, two salads, minestrone, focaccia.

We got there before our reservation & was seated after everyone in our party of 6 arrived. Everything from appetizers to main courses & desserts were super delicious. Our guests from out of town were not disappointed. They were glad to experience Bestia. It lived out to the great reviews.
