Best Restaurants that are Worth The Drive in Riverwoods

Great food and attentive service. Carmine's was able to accommodate guests with dairy and gluten allergies.

The sauces were outstanding!!! I had the veal ravioli and my wife had the Carbonara pasta. Each were fantastic and the sauce was completely different. It was hard to decide which was better. One of the best Italian restaurants we've been to in quite a while. Very small setting as max capacity is 49 people. Service was wonderful. Will definitely return. Compliments to the chef. The only negative I could give this place is the 3% add on for use of a credit card, but this is becoming universal in Chicago so I guess it's the future.

Mago’s is our favorite restaurant in the area. Food is always excellent. Service is always fast and friendly. A wide variety of mole sauces is always available—a specialty of the house. Today we were celebrating our grandson’s 14th birthday, and the restaurant helped celebrate with a sparkler, a Mexican sombrero, the Happy Birthday song, and a complimentary ice cream sundae. Great time!

This was my first time eating in Saranello‘s and I was very pleasantly surprised with the whole experience. The food portions were not large, but enormous! The bread and dipping oil we’re a delicious starter with our wine. My friend and I split a small Caesar salad and we couldn’t even finish it. I chose chicken with lemon and capers for my entrée and she ordered chicken Parmesan. Both were tender and very tasty. Looking forward to going back and trying some of the fresh pastas on the menu. The service was polite and helpful and the ambience pleasantly calm. 

Very good food. Large portions and very reasonably priced. Service good and very accomodating.
