Best Restaurants that are Worth The Drive in San Ysidro

Excellent service and the food was amazing. Went to celebrate our anniversary and we were definitely taken care of by the staff. The management stopped and asked how our experience was and were very pleasant.

Had dinner with good friends. This was our first visit but not theirs. The cocktails (Paloma, lemon drop, margs) were excellent. Decided on the biscuits and cauliflower for apps and they were great. Warning - cauliflower was a little spicy but good. Entrees were delicious. I personally had the monte Cristo. Not exactly what I was expecting but really good. The sweet potato fries were a little crunchy. Sea Bass was a little salty for my husband’s liking. Service was a little slow but we were ok with it because we were talking and having a good time. It’s not often that either couple gets a night out with no kids so we took advantage of the slow service. Our waiter was very accommodating but not too accommodating. We definitely want to go back and try brunch

In memory of Eddie, the previous matte ‘d. His spirit lives on and our server, Mikaela was attentive, bubbly, cheerful and engaging. She looked after my twin 14 girls who birthday we have celebrated at this Maggiano’s for the past 8 years. Please thank her for making our night to enjoyable.

We enjoyed a delicious craft cocktail at the bar before dinner. Dinner was excellent! We enjoyed/shared crab cakes, shrimp andouille, brussel sprouts, and mushroom side dishes; excellent flavors and our combination of dishes enhanced our dining experience! The service was excellent by all who took care of our beverage and dining needs... thank-you! We will certainly return and highly recommend for others to experience. We stayed at the Kendall Inn that was absolutely lovely located right next door.

Christmas Day dinner was excellent along with the service. Ethan was an outstanding server and made the evening wonderful and a huge breath of fresh air from an already stressful Christmas trip to San Antonio. Food portions are just right. I had one of the best, if not THE best, linguini carbonara plates ever. My stepsons enjoyed their food as well as my wife. The wine selection was perfect as they have a right balance of variety and price points to accommodate those that like moderately priced bottles and some higher priced ones like Silver Oak and Stags Leap. The entire staff was friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend.
