Sciortino's is a classic Italian trattoria and wine bar. The restaurant makes most of its sauces and pastas from scratch every day, ensuring that guests get the freshest plate of food possible. This dedication to making its own ingredients has led to partnerships with local farmers. Sciortino's is a family restaurant, with lots of large tables and a few semi-private rooms that can be reserved for special events or private parties.Sciortino's menu is made up mainly of classic Italian fare. Guests will see pizza, pasta and a few grilled entrées on the menu, each with a few standouts. Some of the signature items the kitchen prides itself on are the pizzas, eggplant parmesan and chicken marsala. Patrons who come hungry should save themselves some room for dessert, because Sciortino's does an excellent cannoli, complete with cream on top and coming out of both ends.

Almost 50 years ago, the Lieu family migrated from Asia to the United States. Since then, they have owned and operated full-service restaurants in cities across the country, including Seattle, Atlanta, Athens, and Greenville. So, where do the great flavors and tried-and-true recipes come from? The patriarch of the Lieu family handed down his amazing recipes to his eldest sons, David and Peter. Just as good brothers do, they worked together with their father to ensure success for their restaurants. Lieu Family owned and operated “Lieu’s Chinese Bistro” for twelve years on Woodruff Road, came to an end in 2014 when the family sold the business to a Korean family who has now sold the restaurant to another family. We still license the use of the name to the Woodruff Road operators, but you can only get the true Lieu’s Chinese experience and recipes at our latest concept “Lieu’s Asian Bistro” on Beacon Drive off Pelham Road which is a partnership with our friend David McCraw.

The bar tender Nico began our amazing evening with his cocktail magic. The Jewels was knowledgeable and super friendly. Her service was perfect. We kept ordering awaesome dishes just to be able to stay longer. Lovely evening. We were so caught up in the ambiance we forgot to get our picture made in front of the Xmas tree. We’ll be back for certain.

Our server, Benjamin, did a fantastic job welcoming us and highlighting the menu. It was pretty busy and yet our food came quickly and was paced well. Appreciated the mock tail menu and loved the comfort style southern food. Was absolutely worth the drive from Asheville before a show at the Flat Rock Playhouse.

We ordered appetizers Jalapeno Poppers and Whipped Goat with honey drizzle, almonds and cranberries with Pita slices, both were excellent!! The main course was individual pizzas Chicken Bacon Ranch, Buffalo Chicken and The Works, and a Large Greek Salad with grilled chicken. All were super delicious. Only negative was the chicken on the Greek Salad was dry and a little over cooked. Our waitress Jeanine was outstanding she served us with a smile and great efficient service! Ask for her when you can!!

A wonderful dining experience. I hadn’t had lamb chops yet in a while, I asked the chef suggest a side for me. The chops were terrific and the suggested crispy red potatoes complimented the chops. My wife had surf and turf and she loved it. The filet was cooked perfectly and the crab cake was packed with tasty crabmeat. The drinks and wine were generous in size. The crème brûlée was rich and so creamy. A very enjoyable dinner.

We had the Oscar Filet, scallops, crab cake, pork chop, pretzel and chocolate mousse. In addition to a couple of cocktails and we shared the Mesa Amarone. The food was amazing, drinks were delicious, the server was lovely (sorry I didnt get her name) and there was no pressure to move on even after a couple of hours. Not my first time or my last. My Mom has special needs and they never disappoint (taking great care of us). Love it here!!
