- DPDeepakPToronto / Ontario •14 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoWhat an amazing afternoon tea! The entire experience was simply perfect. The setting is at Clockwork in the middle of the Fairmont surrounded by beautiful Christmas trees and reindeer. Liah described all of the sandwiches and sweets and was extremely helpful throughout the tea. The variations of teas was superb with an eggnog flavour and an amazing Chai version. It was extremely festive. The sandwiches were substantial and fascinating- the smoked salmon and coronation chicken were some of our favourites but the roast beef on a croissant, tomato tart and lobster roll were all tasty and hearty. The value was excellent. The sweets didn’t disappoint either. The meringue snowmen and gingerbread cupcakes were superior S were the other chocolates and squares. The presentation was beautiful and the service impeccable. They were constantly checking on our hot water and if we needed anything. The scones with a special Christmas compote were a great finale! Liah even managed to get us some clotted cream. Overall this is one of the best afternoon teas we have attended around the world. We will definitely be going back to the Fairmont for their afternoon tea. Kudos to the entire staff and chefs.More infoCLOCKWORKPrice: Moderate• undefined• Financial District•4.8

- DDiannevipToronto / Ontario •26 reviews5.0Dined 7 days agoAn outstanding restaurant in the Hilton Hotel in downtown Toronto. From the greeting of the hostess to the warm service offered by George our server to the food - all went beyond our expectations. Service was efficient but did not give the feeling of being rushed to ensure we were comfortably on time for the ballet we were attending just across the street. It is off the main lobby so could be noisy (the initial noise when we first arrived quickly died down), however the hostess did seat people in the area which was more remote from the lobby which did help. The only other improvement could be the seating. Cushions were provided to help, but found the banquette positioned well back from the table and the tub chairs although they looked comfortable to sit did not position those of us of short stature as comfortably for eating. However, this is definitely on my list for a return visit. Many more menu items to try out!More infoFrenchy Bar et BrasseriePrice: Expensive• French• Financial District•4.5
