- LLauraVIPLos Angeles •18 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoBeautiful view, great ambiance, excellent service, tasty food. I only wish they had more of a selection and/or would switch up their menu occassionally.More infoCast & PlowPrice: Expensive• Californian• Marina del Rey•4.5
- KKai-NingLos Angeles •5 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoThe Culver Hotel has changed and improved their afternoon tea menu. There were pleasant little surprises in the food that I wasn't expecting---a little herbal note here, a little floral accent there (don't want to spoil the surprises), and voila! the food was tasty with interesting little twists. The tea selection was decent (about half a dozen or so) and the quantity was definitely sufficient for a full meal. The ambience was relaxing, not too busy when we were there, so not too noisy. Service is definitely acceptable, not quite white glove, but perfectly passable. And, given its location on the Westside, the price point is reasonable. A nice little hideaway amidst the bustling downtown Culver city. I will be back.More infoLillie's at The Culver HotelPrice: Expensive• French / American• Culver City•4.4
- AAnabelleVIPLos Angeles •11 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoAmazing as per usual. Our server Jeanie provided amazing service, from getting our drinks in a timely manner to even bringing it out for us. I cannot stop recommending this restaurant to family and friends. The manager (tall with glasses) also came to check up on us. 10/10 recommend if you’re in the area.More infoEl Torito - HawthornePrice: Moderate• Mexican• Manhattan Beach / Hermosa Beach•4.9
- SsusanVIPLos Angeles •11 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 25, 2024Had Christmas Eve dinner at Tin Roof Bistro. We were seated promptly and food and service were delightful as always except for one thing: My husband ordered the special dessert of Bread Pudding. It really wasn't as described, and looked like we got the last bit of the pan it was baked in. There was almost no moisture - very little custard, no apples or cranberries, just a lot of toasted bread cubes, some burnt. We asked the waiter where was the fruit and rather than bringing us a proper portion from a new pan, he brought a ramekin of cranberries to add to it. Too bad - we saw another table's bread pudding and it looked amazing. If you are running out of a special, best to 86 it rather than try and scrape out one more substandard serving.More infoTin Roof BistroPrice: Moderate• American• Manhattan Beach / Hermosa Beach•4.8
- RRachaelNew York City •4 reviews5.0Dined on Nov 28, 2024Joliet is, without a doubt, the best spot in LA for whatever it is you're looking for. My boyfriend and I are absolutely obsessed with it - when a group of our friends decided to have a night out the 6 of us, we came to Joliet and there is something perfect for everyone. By day, it is the cutest spot for coffee, tea, a dirty chai, a pastry, and/or a sandwich. I recommend bringing your laptop or a book and staying a while, striking up a conversation with Alejandro or Olivia at the bar, and trying one or several of their fantastic options. You TRULY cannot go wrong. I had a pistachio croissant that absolutely changed my life. The egg sandwich made my jaw drop. Come nighttime, Joliet is a sexy speakeasy that boasts outstanding cocktails, great music, date-night ambience, and a whole different menu of mouthwatering options. My boyfriend loves the lobster roll, and I am obsessed with the mezze platter. The espresso martini is elevated and vibrant, and the spicy marg was better than imagined. Alejandro's attention to detail is incredibly extraordinary - he adds a special touch to everything he does, whether it's shaving an extra layer of cheese on your sandwich, or adding a cute little flower to your cocktail, or just taking the time to get to know you, it's really such a special experience.More infoJoliet Cafe and BarPrice: Moderate• Italian• Playa Vista•4.3
