Best Live Music Restaurants in Penn Quarter

We made a reservation for the restaurant, but our goal was to make it down to the Roja Lounge. It's first come first serve and a smaller space, but we were eager to try it. The tequila and mezcal selection was very interesting and we were looking forward to try some of their cocktails or even a flight. Turns out, we were intrigued by the Mexican wines so we didn't do any cocktails! My husband did try a Mezcal that he really enjoyed. We ended up just ordering appetizers and were very full. Our favorite were the wagyu beef empanadas. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. It was a Sunday night and there was live music. By the time we left at 7pm the place was popping!

Go to happy hour upstairs, it will set the tone for the rest of the evening, and then enjoy ramen downstairs after. It’s always a vibe!

Huge shoutout to all the staff the service was beyond amazing from start to finish. Special thanks to Samantha outstanding hostess and hats off to Keegan for making everything happen!!! My date loved every second of it hands down best Valentine’s Day ever!!!!

First time at Oyamel. The food was excellent as was the service by Melvin. He carefully explained the menu and our many serving options. The Oyamel margarita was delicious as were the tocos and rice w mushrooms and Brussel sprout sides. The tres leches dessert was incredible! Overall, and excellent dining experience enhanced by the care of Melvin. We will return soon!

Waiter was very pleasant. Hod to move us to handle a big crowd coming in, but still got to keep our original waiter and met a really nice couple.
