It all began with a love story and a dream. Linwood, a chef, and Ellen, a reporter, met 36 years ago in a restaurant of course! They married and began to envision that someday they would open a restaurant of their own. The restaurant’s first business plan was written at their dining room table on an electric typewriter. In 1988 Linwoods opened its doors, and it has been a labour of love for more than thirty years. Linwoods’ cuisine consists of the freshest ingredients, and inventive preparation. Our service is warm and attentive. We have developed a reputation for consistency an attention to detail. These qualities are key to our catering business as well.     We celebrated our anniversary here during a Ravens-Steelers game, which made the atmosphere lively and vibrant despite the extra noise. Our reservation was found immediately, and we were warmly wished a Happy Anniversary before being seated in a booth as requested. Our server was exceptional—friendly and attentive without being intrusive. He expertly guided us through the menu, and his recommendations were spot on. The appetizer was exactly as described and delicious. Both entrees were cooked to perfection, and the Crème Brûlée dessert was not only perfect but also generously portioned. The cocktails were excellent with solid pours. Overall, I'm very impressed with what the Clyde's group has achieved here and look forward to seeing this concept expand in the future. Highly recommended!

    We have been eating at Linwoods for many years. We have always loved the food and atmosphere there. The service is always great, The waiters always treat you special. We haven't been to Linwoods in awhile, simply because we live a good distance from the restaurant. We were not disappointed and can't wait to go back.
