For many years, William had wanted to open his own restaurant & finally he has. "The Cart Shed".Showcasing the best of local and seasonal food, much of which will have been produced on the family farm, but we aim not to travel more than 10 miles for any of our ingredients (except for the odd exotic like lemons for your G&T).We have rejuvenated the horticultural side of the farm. Along with poultry, quail and squab pigeons the farm is providing much of the food served in the restaurant.William & his friends will also be out with their guns & fishing rods to provide a little wild meat for the table such as venison, partridge, trout not to mention the humble wood pigeon and rabbit.After a couple of years of interruption caused by COVID & life things are now back to normal with a new team & a newly refurbished restaurant.We look forward to seeing you all soon.
Essendon is a friendly club in beautiful surroundings, open for dining in the light and airy modern Courtyard Kitchen restaurant, with breakfast served daily from 8am and the lunch menu from 12 noon. Children and well-behaved dogs are welcome.Our Main Menu includes Club favourites such as the Essendon burger, Dirty Fries and our infamous Chicken Katsu Curry as well as sandwiches, salads and delicious desserts.Our popular Sunday Roast Lunches are always served in our 16th century Grand Barn with white linen tablecloths and full table service, the perfect space for family or social gatherings where we can accommodate large groups on round tables that seat up to twelve.Sunday menus change weekly so watch our social media for upcoming choices.We hope to see you soon!
