Best Restaurants for Spicy Food in Upper Norwood

It’s a lovely place but the menu a little quirky and the food good but not great.

This is my third time dinning at the Ivy. We were blown away by the great service provided by kaytrana. She made my friends 25th birthday so special. Thanks so much. Great food, on average £62pp which included two small sharing plates each, a cocktail, and a main. Would go again.

A special mention goes to Shakel, our waiter for the evening, who truly elevated our experience. His attentive service, warm demeanor, and in-depth knowledge of the menu made us feel genuinely cared for throughout the meal. He went above and beyond to ensure every detail was perfect, from recommending dishes to accommodating our preferences seamlessly. The food itself was nothing short of spectacular. Every dish was a delightful explosion of flavors, beautifully presented and perfectly balanced. The combination of impeccable service and exceptional cuisine makes The Cinnamon Club a must-visit destination. Reliably great local Indian restaurant. Excellent food, good price, excellent service.

Great service friendly staff. We booked via an open table experience for my daughter's birthday. The king prawn puree was excellent. Portion sizes were good. We had chicken tikka, fish tikka, chicken shaslic, lamb biryani, butter and garlic nans, plain rice. Enjoyed the bengali beer as had not had it before. Definitely worth a visit.
