Chao Pescao is a new casual Latin Caribbean restaurant from longtime San Francisco restaurateur Rene Denis inspired by his Cuban-Colombian heritage. The name, translating roughly to “see you later alligator,” captures the friendly and fun spirit of the restaurant. Cocktails are inspired by many of the traditional drinks from Latin America, while the food pulls from the comforting Cuban and Colombian home cooking of Denis’s childhood.     The food was so good, only thing I would say is skip the dessert. We got the pear torta and the guaduja cake. They were the only things we got that I thought were mediocre at best. The lamb chops were devine and so was the carbonara

    What do you say when a restaurant treats you like you are their only customer! From the time we walked in, to the special celebration message (happy anniversary) on the table, we were treated with such kindness and attentiveness that it made our celebration extra special. Thank you to the staff and Brian, who took care of us for helping us celebrate 23 years with some holiday flair. Oh - and the food? Simply Mind blowing!

    Wow. We had a wonderful time at the Red Window. We had been anticipating going for a few months. We had booked a table to celebrate 2 belated birthdays in August for October. Little did we know that they changed their hours of opening for October. I called and reconfirmed the date and time with them and they said they would open for us as planned. We were treated like queens. We had a lovely server name Melanie. She served us our fantastic rojo sangria and let us know all the popular tapas and entrees as well as her favorites. One of the birthday girls is a food and wine blogger so she picked Melanie brain on the drinks and food being served. We ordered food we could all share. Caesar salad, Arugula Salad,Buffalo chicken wings,and Chili Braised Lamb pasta. Everything was delicious and very filling. They comp us 4 glasses of champagne to celebrate our 2 ladies birthday. What a memorable day. Melanie from Lucca made it so special for us too. The ambiance of the Red Window is colorful and festive and the lively music they played gave it a party atmosphere. We will all go back again. Thanks to the owner for honoring our reservations. You made us very happy!!
