Local farms and waters are the inspiration for this New American restaurant that focuses on creating menus using ingredients that change with each season. American micro-brews and wines are carefully selected to pair with each dish our chef creates. Enjoy our House-Infused Artisan Cocktails, made with seasonal purees and fresh squeezed juices, while overlooking the Long Island Sound on either the seasonal outdoor patio, upstairs seating or cozy lounge. Established in 2004 in Greenport, this top-rated restaurant for both food and service moved in Spring 2008 to Port Jefferson harbor.

Some of the best calamari I’ve ever had. The whole meal was great. Creative menu with well-paired flavors. There was a good local wine selection too. Five stars all around!

My party included 2 vegans and 2 persons who are gluten sensitive. The Fifth Season restaurant is very vegan and GF friendly, offering a variety of choices in both these categories. They even delivered GF bread to the table to eat with the initial offering of bread and butter or humus. I can't think of another restaurant that provides GF bread.

Great restaurant. Prices are excellent and it’s casual. Food was good. Wine was good. Service was very good. Ambiance is ok. This isn’t a swanky date night but it’s a solid choice for a reasonable meal, good food and great service.

I was excited to go back to the Fifth Season, as I hadn’t had the opportunity to eat there in a few years. It had always been my go to for a meal to celebrate a special occasion. When we were seated upstairs, I was quite surprised to see that they no longer dressed the tables with tablecloths. Eating on a bare wood table felt as if I were eating at a bar, rather than a nice restaurant, and for me, it took away from the experience of fine dining. Our Waiter, Jason, was great. He was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. He recommended the steak tips special in a butter truffle sauce with mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli and that meal was absolutely delicious. The sauce was incredible. I started with a Caesar salad, which was always a favorite when I ate here. It was served nice and cold, which I love, however the salad had little flavor. I asked for more dressing, thinking that there just wasn’t enough on the salad, but it turned out that the dressing just lacked flavor. For dessert, I had the Warm Flourless Chocolate Cake with mint gelato and chocolate crunch. It tasted good, but was not served as warm as I would have liked it. Overall, it was a nice dinner.

The service was amazing, but the food wasn’t. Our salads were over dressed and the puree with my fish tasted like baby food.
