Everything was absolutely wonderful but I ordered the spicy tuna roll and I have never tasted spicy tuna that SPICY! It had me coughing and my eyes and tongue were on fire. Our crème brûlée was delicious and the crab soup was my favorite.

She crab soup was great as always. The “wagyu” special was very underwhelming. A very thin cut that was tough and poorly marbled. Had two bites and left the rest. Others at the table had sushi and the filet Oscar special and both thought those dishes were good. This was our third stop here in the last 30 days.

The food was mediocre as was the service. Dining experience was disappointing. Dining room appeared to be a conference room with a large tv screen at one end and guitars hung around the room - no warmth or color - not at all like the photos of the main dining room. In fact, we saw a total of three dining’ rooms which appeared to be conference rooms. Overall, this place is very overrated.

For a friends birthday it was perfect!! The workers were so welcoming and open for pictures! The food was phenomenal and we will be back!!

I have been a firefly a number of times. This time was a little bit different. When we arrived on our scheduled reservation time we waited almost 15 minutes to be seated. My wife had the pasta Bolognese, what she thought was somewhat mediocre. I had the scallops, they were only three of them, though they were a nice size. It was an adequate dining experience just not the Moore mountain top one that I’ve had in the past.

I've been going to Firefly for years. I'm not in the class where I can go everyday, but I try to get there a several times a year. I've never had anything but positive things to say about Firefly. Until now. I couldn't tell you exactly how long it's been going on, but they are now charging a 3.5% fee unless you pay in cash. I may be, and probably am, in the minority with this view, but this sort of thing feels tawdry and cheap. We've all driven past a gas station that flashes one price for cash and another for credit. I get it, it costs money to process credit cards. It costs money to be in business. Further, if you go to a nicer place, you expect to pay more. Paying $4 for a soda becomes an accepted cost of the experience. When you spend $300 on dinner and drinks, you chalk it all up and say, "Ah, but it was such a wonderful time!" You add an $80 tip for excellent service and atmosphere and you've got yourself one heck of a night! When you later see that the restaurant is tacking on the "service fee" for the "privilege" of paying beith a card, it ruins not only the night, but your desire to do business with them again. We accept the shrinking portions; the appetizer that used to cover the plate and is now framed nicely inside it. We accept the rising prices. This is a place where you can buy a shot of cognac for $165. Wow! It's a magical experience. But, I wish more of us would reject this nickel and dime, myopic approach that destroys the illusion and the magic and makes me feel like I'm buying tires instead. Buy three and get the fourth one free! It, obviously, doesn't matter in the grand scheme, but I'm not sure when I'll be back.
