We serve food that, more often than not, accesses that part of our deepest soul where genuine expression can flow forth. We have always tried to give our food and service our best selves, as honest and vulnerable as we can muster. We strive to be a place where you might actually have a real connection; maybe with your server, maybe with your food or maybe with your possibly gracious host who is ACTUALLY glad you’re there.

Oh, you wanted a restaurant description? Sorry. Can’t really help you there. We’re not so big on labels. Our food is hard to nail down as we are constantly evolving and entirely seasonal and personal. We’ve used “Food you eat” as a tag line on occasion and that remains accurate. We could also describe it as “Food we really want you to eat”. When you’re here, tell us what you would call it.

    My wife and I enjoyed the Brussels sprouts, fried chicken and squash special. Servers (Dulce was our primary server) were very friendly on a busy Friday night.

    I have to come to Firefly at least once per trip to San Francisco! It’s the epitome of a. Neighborhood gem. Food. Ambience. Energy and service is terrific. Love firefly !

    Still a great little neighborhood gem. Last time I was there was over 13 years ago. I’m glad they have weathered the storm thus far. Service and food were excellent. Warm and cozy environment.

    Thank you Firefly for always being welcoming and cheers to our server for being so knowledgeable and accommodating. Every time we go to Firefly we have great service and a delightful meal. Our server was awesome last night and she really added to the experience. We hope to get back there soon!

    The food at Firefly is innovative and delicious. Our server was really on top of things, and answered our questions well. We really enjoyed the butternut squash appetizer and the scallop and fish dish, so good!
