We are excited to welcome you to First & Oak! We offer outdoor seating on our heated patio & inside our intimate dining rooms. Seating is limited, a credit card is required & will only be charged for cancellations. Please allow us a minimum of 24 hours prior to avoid any cancelation fees.

We offer two dining experiences: Traditional Three Course or a Chef's Five Course Tasting Menu.
Parties of 6 or more please call. When reserving standard (indoor) or outdoor seating (Please be mindful regarding the weather, it tends to get chilly as the night goes on), please choose which experience you would prefer & let us know of any dietary restrictions, Vegan request needs a days advance notice.

First and Oak is located inside the Mirabelle Inn, & was awarded a Michelin Plate designation in 2022. We offer a seasonally-inspired menu that highlights local & organic ingredients prepared in a thoughtful manner. Our dining room operates with the mindset of warm compassionate attentive service.

Offering choices for each course, this menu captures the level of technique being employed by our kitchen team each and every day, and allows guests to engage with our service team to create a casual but elegant dining experience.     The Chef's Tasting Menu is the signature dining experience at First & Oak - highlighting our most seasonal preparations, featuring produce from the farms in Santa Ynez Valley, seafood from off the California Coast and other local specialties. Chef Ivan Coronel and his team's level of execution and attention to detail is apparent in every dish, offering delicious menu options for each course, allowing guests to engage with the menu each night. Wine pairings are offered along with the Chef's Tasting Menu on a nightly basis.     Our service was great but food was subpar. It was restaurant week and so we did the menu of that. I ordered the roasted chicken and it was dry with literally no flavor. My husband got the 5 course with his entree being the beef tenderloin. It was 2 small slices of beef. The smallest entree I’ve ever seen. This restaurant was recommended by many and we were so looking forward to our meal but were very disappointed.

    First and oak Solvang Ca: quaint restraint located in a beautiful restored inn on a quiet street. I chose the 3 course meal for restaurant week which starts with a TRUFFLE ROASTED CAULIFLOWER Cauliflower Mousse, Quinoa, Golden Raisins, Truffle & Chive Vinaigrette The multiple layers of sweet savory and nutty was a wonderful surprise to my tastebuds and overwhelmed my pallet with bountiful flavors BEEF TENDERLOIN English Pea & Mint Puree, Maitake Mushroom, Grilled Baby Gem The beef tenderloin was cooked to perfection with the Mai take mushrooms adding a delightful addition to the complexity of the taste the English pea and mint purée was delightfully paired with a sweet Demi glaze that made my tastebuds tingle with the excitement of every bite. Course 3 chocolate tart: The tarts crust was so delicate and buttery paired with a wonderful chocolate ganache and a Chantelle cream all I can say is bravo this is a well deserved 2023 Michelin restaurant and a solid 9.5 on the Crail scale

    Service and food were amazing! We chose the 5 course tasting menu and were surprised by the generous portions. I love that they use locally sourced ingredients. One of the best meals I’ve ever had! Cannot wait to come back and try brunch on the patio.

    Our party of 3 each ordered the 3 course prix fixe dinner- two choosing the fish main course while I chose the tenderloin. Salad course was the best dish. The tenderloin was very tasty but the fish course was small and unremarkable. Dessert of pear and ginger pound cake consisted of 8 tiny squares of pear and a slice of cake with small serving of ice cream. Overall the value wasn’t there at $75/person. For example the salad, while good was not a $20 dollar salad; meat and fish courses were not $40 dollar dishes and dessert not $15 when you break the $75 down. Service was friendly but our first course was served before we could order our bottle of wine. After that pace of dishes was good. Staff was friendly and sommelier was knowledgeable making a good wine selection. Just did not feel like a $300 dining experience before tip and tax.

    We had a great time, the staff was very friendly and restaurant had a very cozy vibe. The standout item was definitely the truffle roasted cauliflower.
