   My daughter has been in the hospital for a week and a half. My husband and I decided to take our other daughter out to destress from the overwhelming circumstances of having to spend so much time in the hospital, not having our family together, and all that goes along with that. My sister stayed in the hospital so that we could take time for a nice dinner out. What a sheer and utter disappointment. Flemings used to be a pretty consistent great meal and experience. That will be the last time we go there. Our food was dry and seemed like it had been sitting waiting to be served for quite some time. The wait was crazy for our food to come. We were so hungry we went through three servings of bread!! The food didn't come out as we had ordered and we were too tired to fuss about it. See attached photos of dried out cheese on top of our Fleming's potatoes--I didn't get a photo, but the Mac and cheese was even worse. I would skip Flemings if I were you and go to Gulfstream or Joey's. For a legit steak house alternative, I recommend Ruth's Chris. I have never ever had bad service or a bad meal there--quite the contrary.

   Lettuce in the Chopped wedge salad was not crisp. Asked for pork chop to be done medium. The served advised the pork chop’s doneness would be medium well……it came out closer to well done…..very dry and tough. Sous vie short rib had a very different texture compared to a braised slow cooked one. Risotto had texture of lumpy mashed potatoes.

   Service was excellent. Most of the food was good, although some of the steaks were overcooked.

   We were seated upon arrival. Our server was excellent and attentive, but the food service was slow, as the restaurant was filled due to the Thanksgiving holiday. The USDA PRIME Rib Eye did not look very appealing, and was disappointing as it looked rather thin for that cut. The taste was acceptable but not up to the USDA PRIME quality. Surprisingly, the men’s restroom had graffiti inside the men’s stall. Disappointed! I would never return even though our server was excellent, professional, courteous, and friendly. I made the mistake of canceling reservations at Maestros for the convenience of the location—a poor decision on my part.

    For a steak experience, Fleming’s is the place. Not a good choice for Thanksgiving, particularly if your focus is to have a great turkey meal. The presentation of the main course was sad and the quality of the turkey was quite poor, particularly if the choice was white and dark meat. The dark meat was incredibly dry and the white meat was sliced deli thin, not carved from a whole turkey. The stuffing was very salty and the sides of mashies, beans and cranberry sauce were not particularly appealing. The place felt busy, noisy and somewhat overwhelmed by the crowd, even though the staff was doing their best to keep up with the demand. We were looking forward to a great experience but it did not materialize. Will certainly come back for the steaks, but never again for Thanksgiving.
