   Everything was great. Was a bit late on a busy night and they were able to push us back. The pork chop was amazing

   Amazing whipped ricotta, and the Paccheri pasta was so good! We had an amazing meal, and dessert was delicious, minus only one star because they forgot to bring out my earl grey tea. Otherwise wonderful very attentive service! Great Chicago spot

   Really enjoyed our meal. The fried calamari were some of the best I’ve had in years. Perfectly cooked and extremely crispy. Excellent service.

   went for a family dinner of 7 people and sat at a round booth where we could all hear and see each other! food was delicious and service was great!

   First of all, Formento's is a warm and "cozy cool" place to walk into. The next step is the sense that the staff is experienced and truly interested in providing top notch service. That's a darn good start, wouldn't you agree?? In the early rounds, our table most enjoyed the East Coast oysters and the Gem Salad - the sizable salad featuring "perfect" greens, red onion, pecorino cheese and a distinctive vinaigrette. The entree round featured a light & tasty Branzino plus the mushroom risotto - which featured a deep, rich flavor profile that, in my humble opinion, did not benefit from the black truffle. Somewhat disappointing was the decidedly non-standard Cacio e Pepe. We were unable to identify the unexpected flavors but we easily agreed we prefer the old standard. The wine list is terrific, as is the sommelier. In this post-Covid restaurant world, I'm still struggling with the high price levels in quality big-city restaurants. Including a medium beverage tab, the cost of our visit was $150/person. For us, that means we'll be back because we really enjoyed our visit - but it won't be anytime real soon. :-(

   We had a party of 7 [originally was to be 10], seated at one of the very large booths. Celebrating a birthday with long lost friends from college. While the food was outstanding and they accommodated various allergies/dietary restrictions quite well, I was disappointed in the large booth. The booth meant that friends seated far across the wide end of the table were hard to hear well. It doesn't make for great conversation with folks we haven't seen in many years. But I would totally go back to try more of the delicious menu! The whipped ricotta was amazing. They had ample supply of GF bread which was good. Loved the drinks, appetizers and my entrée - Sunday gravy indeed! I think they should sell their ricotta at markets, it's that GOOD. I'm never disappointed in the delicious food by Chef Chris Pandel (RIP Bristol!), and the Boka group. Service was great as well. Just note the booths and size of your party. Might work better w/ larger group and chairs across the far end.

    Dinner was a fantastic experience. The food was delicious from the appetizer, the main course pasta to the after dinner martini. Our server was personable, helpful and delightful. All around enjoyable evening.
