   I wasn’t pleased with my steak, it was over cooked. We had reservations and had to wait for our table when we arrived. Didn’t have any room to take our coats, when we arrived. The restaurant was overly crowded to say the least. I was hoping for a good steak at this visit, not so much. The dessert was delicious, it was the cheesecake.

   The wait team of 3 needed a Captain because we had to keep asking to take our food order which was almost an hour after we sat. Then my husband’s steak cut was wrong and the bone-in ribeye was fatty. We are local and Gallagher’s is one of our favorite NYC steakhouses but we aren’t in a hurry to go back anytime soon.

   Still the Great Steakhouse of Mid town NYC Old world charm with 2025 vibe. Being a regular here has its perks. Stu our bartender made dinner for my son and I a spectacle. Shrimp and lobster dumplings Beautiful aged rib eye And 3 different sides propped up in front of Us at the bar for easy access. A great night !!!

   The food was amazing and Ali and Patrick were wonderful table staff! This is where I am coming back to on my next trip to NYC. The tomahawk was perfectly cooked and sliced.

   This was our first trip to Gallagher‘s, and it did not disappoint. I’m not sure where to start on this review. However, I think I’d have to say that our positive experience started with the great and attentive service. The wait staff was diligent and kind. The cocktails we ordered were very good pours and well done. The menu pricing for New York was pry much in line with what one would expect, but not overpriced. My girlfriend and I shared a porterhouse for two, which is cooked to perfection. We spit a salad and had one side, which were very nicely done. I wish that there had been a few more selections on the list of wines by the glass, but what was there was adequate. The tables in the restaurant are close together, but we enjoyed talking to people nearby. Overall, this was a first rate dining experience and I will look forward to returning to Gallagher‘s again.
