The name GAONNURI represents our placement in what we believe is the center of the world, both physically and figuratively. Located in the heart of New York City, a city that represents the intersection of the finest cuisines and eclectic cultures, GAONNURI seeks to gather people of all backgrounds to share in a traditional Korean dining experience. We hope that the authenticity of the food and the enjoyment of the dining experience will invite patrons for generations to come.     Overall, this was a below average experience. The staff greeting was very kind; however, the bar we had to wait at was disorganized and took a while to get drinks out. When we were seated, I was underwhelmed by the views as this was the main attraction of the restaurant. Know that the price you pay for the view will not be worth it. The food came out very quickly; however, it was such little food we had to get food elsewhere after - making the food price unreasonably high. The servers also seemed disorganized as there was staff running around all night making the restaurant feel noisy and chaotic. In addition, the drinks overall were subpar. My recommendation is to find another KBBQ spot as this one has major deficiencies.

    Had a wonderful experience for Valentine’s Day. Our waiter Tenzin took his time to explain everything and went above and beyond to make sure that everything was suitable to our liking. The food was incredible and the service even better, and we will absolutely be coming again!

    I love Korean food but I booked the best Menu for Valentine’s Day and supposedly if you booked you could or could not have a window view ... We arrived at the restaurant they gave us the worst table, that everything was reserved ... and we had made the reservation 1 month in advance, it was my boyfriend’s birthday .... And Valentine’s Day ... I felt sad because I wanted him to have that beautiful experience of Korean food .... So we wanted to talk to the manager but no one told us anything.... Well, I paid $500 for the dinner of two too expensive ... the only thing I liked was the Lava chocolate that was nicely decorated ... and we paid for some liquors a wine 26 dollars and a margarita ... well they charged us separately ... if you want to go to eat do not make reservations for Valentine’s Day I do not recommend in my case I would not return ... but the experience of going to eat Korean food is nice but I did not like the Valentine’s Menu very disappointed .... and with regard to the waiters they are very attentive and friendly ...

    The food quality, presentation, ambiance and especially the service, were all outstanding! We ordered from the Omakase BBQ menu and loved it. I will definitely return. Thank you for making my special evening so wonderful!

    Really nice experience in this please. The food was so good and the service was so nice. Just recommend a little cool music in the night. Mostly if the people are drinking, it could be nice for costumers to enjoy more the experience.

    We dined here and had the NY Winter Fest menu. More food than we could finish, everything was divine, and the service was 6 stars! The view is also quite magnificent. In short - We loved this place!

    Meat quality was pretty good, but selections for the group set were a bit odd with no substitution. Banchan was lacking, just some kimchi, radish, and plain salad. We asked for onions and the server said no! Service was pretty bad frankly with the server outright denying our simple requests on at least 3 separate occasions. Our reservation was for 9:30 pm and we were the last table in the place with them turning on the house lights moments after cooking our last meat. If they do not plan to accommodate a 9:30 reservation for 6 people then they should not offer the seating on opentable.
