The experience was terrible as was the food and service. Very few diners but our food took forever to arrive. It was lukewarm at best. The waitress, who said she was normally the bar tender, did not know the menu at all. While we were waiting a very long time four dinner to arrive, she finally came by and asked us if we wanted dessert. We had to remind her that we were still waiting on our dinner to arrive. We will not go back and it seems expensive for what you get.

It was my first time at this location and it was ok. I prefer the Virginia Highlands location.

I have dined at Genki many times and have always loved it! The crispy spinach appetizer is my favorite!

It is really a good thing that the food is good because the service has been less than adequate the past couple of experiences. I am not sure what is happening with Ghenki at Prado but some serious training needs to take place. I ordered the Matua Sauvignon Blanc and the waitress returned saying that it was out but recommended the Geyser Peak. I agreed to try it. She returned again saying that was also out. Two wined on your menu are out? This is poor ordering by management to start with and the fact that your servers don't know what is and is not available before the shift or throughout is really poor communication. What was even more bothersome was that it took a long time between being told the first wine was out to get to be told the second wine was out and then order a Pinot Grigio that took a long time to get. We sat for almost 20 minutes before I actually got my wine. Unacceptable! The server knowing that I had already missed two options should have made my order a priority. Her answer to combat the embarrassment of not having both wines was to overfill my glass. I get the response but it wasn't really the answer now was it. Food was good as usual! Work on the service and clean your fish tanks and you will be a bigger hit.

We had a very good experience. It started off on the wrong note in that our waitress did not know our table had been seated for a while when she showed up, but once we told her -- she more than made up for it in the outstanding service she provided. In addition, the food was outstanding. We will definitely be back!

It's an easy place to grab sushi. It is not the best sushi I ever had and the rolls are pretty thin, but it's never full and there's plenty of parking in the garage in the back. It is good. They have good lunch specials, too. I like the Himalayan Roll. I asked to exchange cucumber for the usual asparagus the roll comes with, and add masago. I was charged for both requests, which was a bit weird. Service is good and fast.

I don't know how this place stays in business! The food is decent, but the service is horrendous. The place was practically empty, and we still had to get up and hunt down service whenever we needed anything. And they don't seem to care. I mentioned at one point that the chicken in my noodle bowl was ridiculously thin and all breaking, and the waitress just responded with "that's how it is" and walked away. I've given it a few shots because it's so close, but never again.

I go to Genki because they make sushi with brown rice. I do think it is ridiculous that they charge an extra fee for the brown rice. This is ridiculous customer service. The one or two dollars annoys people… So why do it? This time around I do not think the fish was as fresh as normal. The ambience is nice and it is a very quiet restaurant.
