   We had an incredible experience at Gertrude’s! From the warm and approachable manager to the seamless reservation process and delicious food, it seems like the perfect addition to a visit to the Desert Botanical Gardens. However, making a reservation is super helpful—90 minutes is a long wait for those who didn’t plan ahead! This is a must-visit spot for anyone in the area. One recommendation. There must be salsa or something with the blue corn chips that you get on the side!

   After a lovely morning in the gardens with our 4 grandchildren, we had a great lunch. All the kids were delighted with their lunches and the 4 adults each had a delicious and unique meals. The prickly pear lemonade was a big hit with all at the table. The server was attentive and friendly and interacted well with the kids. We often come to Gertrude’s after time in the garden and the latest menu was one of the best we’ve had.

   First, I really need to apologize to the staff… We had a reservation for eight and - I know it sounds crazy but 15 people showed up! Family drama and no communication… I cannot stress how wonderful the staff and management were. They had every right to kick us out… There was a huge wait, but they ended up just accommodating us and they were all just so wonderful! My brother died last year and we had his memorial service at DBG - that is the reason we decided to do a going away lunch at Gertrude‘s… Everyone was just wonderful and I will love this place forever for all of the incredible service that they showed us today! Thank you to everyone that helped us today! Again, I am so sorry that we put you out like this!  🥰

   This is one of the gems of the Phoenix area, an unusual menu, but we had five different dishes among our party and everybody was thrilled. Service was excellent, and the atmosphere is terrific. We especially enjoyed dining after sunset so we had the chance to see the wonderful lighted sculptures in the gardens before dinner.

   The meal exceeded expectations. The service was 5 star. The whole experience was a great value. The meal selection was simple yet everyone in our dinner party had a unique dish.

   Gertrude's is truly an unknown Gem!!! The service was outstanding espically with Christiana at our beckon call!! The food was delicious--all 5 of us had something different and each was better than the one before. The appetizers, especially the cauliflower was to die for. The drinks were awesome, my son said the best he has had ever. Finally, the desert was spectacular. This is a great restaurant, with great service, and we had an outstanding evening!!

   Celebrating a birthday was extra special at Gertrude‘s. The staff was warm and inviting. The food was wonderful and artistically prepared. The ambience was stunning!

    Gertrude’s offers menu choices you will not find elsewhere and each one is beautifully executed. Our server, Kristen, was terrific. She offered welcome suggestions based on our preferences and paced our meal expertly, leaving us feeling relaxed and refreshed.
