    We've been to Gertrude's a number of times, tonight our server was pleasant, but took on a table for another server and tgat was almost the last we saw of her. She didn't stop by to check on our drinks, progress of our dinner, we sat for 15 minutes with dirty plates in front of us, the bus boy walked by and didn't bother to puck up the plates, other servers looked at us and didn't offer to take the dirty plates. We finally flagged down the host, asked for our cheque, the server finally showed up and asked if we wanted dessert, we let her know that someone else was taking care of us. Her tip 10%. I worked in a hotel restaurant in college, so i generally over tip knowing how difficult the job is, but, tonight, I couldn't do it, when she decided to take on an additional table, we paid the price and that's what I took issue with.

    It is one of the most diverse food flavors restaurants in town. I love food. They offer breakfast, brunch, or dinner a lot. 100% recommend

    Beautiful venue, impeccable service , very overcooked meals. Another nice evening at the Gardens but despite the friendly and attentive service and stunning views the food was so dry and overdone it was tough to eat—literally and figuratively . Must have sat under a heat lamp for a long time unless someone just allowed our dinners to overcook -the salmon had the consistency of a freeze dried meal not succulent at all. Tough to swallow because of the dryness . My guests had similar reactions to their meals. Because it was Luminarias night for our family we all agreed to just say nothing and enjoy each others company . Particularly bad food night at our table.

    Gertrude's offers a unique variety of offerings on the menu in a beautiful setting with excellent service. This time of year we like to include Gertrude's in our traditional family visit to Las Noches de las Luminarias. PS - try the Korean Corn Cheese!

    Server Molly was amazing. She gave such great descriptions of the menu we went a little wild! Everything was delicious. Gertrude’s patio is one of the best locations in Phoenix for catching up… charming setting, quiet conversations, fabulous food and outstanding service. Wonderful
