My boyfriend and I eat here almost every other month. It’s our go to sushi place and the people here are amazing. Highly recommend for great quality food.

The amaebi and Hokkaido Scallops were my favorite. They were fresh and had a hint of sweetness. We also had the Chutoro and chicken-age, they were exquisite!

Can’t believe this was on Michelin recommend list. Service was slow. Food was average. Quality you could find at any average Japanese restaurant at 30% cheaper. Portions were definitely small. Decor was stark. Had the Omakase sashimi which was overpriced for the quantity and quality of the fishes which were not unique nor special. Also ordered tempura which was average.

I had Gintei on my list to try for a while, and decided to take my parents here while they were visiting. The quality of the fish was definitely very good, and some of the rolls we quite enjoyed. I do think the menu in general was VERY overpriced for the portions that we got. I also really enjoyed the hot tea. Parking is a challenge. Service was nice and friendly, but nothing over the top.

After many years dinning here, this is the first time the experience was really bad, from service to food. I hope is the first and last time we have such bad experience

The best braised pork belly we have ever had! Rolls were so fresh and beautifully presented.

Delicious food and gracious service. They were also helpful in letting me know which menu items are gluten free .

Local gem! Fantastic, high quality sushi with all of the convenience/accessibility of a suburb. Better than many of my SF faves.
