The food was excellent. The servers were good, but they didn’t give us serving spoons for dishes we were sharing. We also had tiny/ bread plates for our salads as they didn’t bring over larger ones. If we asked for something, they did bring it over. Everyone was happy with their food though, all 5 of us.

Nice place. Food was good, but pricy for a chicken Caesar salad. Wait staff was very good. We were seated at the ground floor bar so it was a little loud to visit with our guests.

Oh, what a delight last night was at Glasshouse! I couldn’t help but marvel at the sheer abundance of arugula in the beet salad—apparently, subtlety is overrated when you can have a leafy forest on your plate. And the duck breast? A true masterpiece of overcooking; it was transformed into a culinary doorstop, perfect if you’re in the mood for a taste of charcoal. Not to mention the sauce, which clearly came from the assembly line of industrial chic. If you’re eager to experience a meal where every element boldly shouts “excess” and “mediocrity,” then by all means, dive right in. For the rest of us who actually value flavor and finesse, I’d recommend finding somewhere else to dine.

Nice restaurant but service was not on top of things. Had 6:30 reservations for 2. We were sat upstairs in a cozy booth for 2. The restaurant was not busy at all. We let our server know we had to get to a show and only had about an hour or so. She assured us we would be all set, as they cater to the theater crowd and know how to get you in and out quickly. We ordered the prefix set menu. Again, the waitress assured us we had time for three courses. The salad and soup came out promptly and were very good. The main course came out a few minutes later. My husband got the salmon and loved it. I got the braised short ribs, which was very good. Then we sat there waiting for the desert course. After a few minutes the waitress asked if we wanted to see the dessert menu. Clearly she forgot we had pre-ordered it. We reminded her and she disappeared for a few minutes. They brought my husband’s dessert and espresso, but my dessert martini was no where to be found. We requested the bill, as it was getting very late. Finally, the server came with part of my dessert drink (not ready to drink yet) and the bill. I told her we had to leave as we had a 10 minute walk to the theater and we could wait no longer. I would not be able to have the drink. She did remove the $10 up charge for the alcohol from the bill. But they still charged the full $60 for the 3 courses, even though I didn’t have the dessert course. It was just unfortunate because we made it clear that we were concerned about the time and she made mo effort to get us out promptly. There were only 2 other tables in the entire 2nd floor, so the restaurant wasn’t busy at all. The atmosphere was great and the food was very good for the price. I would go back again only if we have more than an hour and 15 minutes and are not on a tight schedule.

The restaurant is literally next door from the Lena Horne theater. We arrive a little early and they took us in right away @ 3:30p. They were not busy at that time. The food, service and ambiance where wonderful. I definitely will recommend this place.

Brunch at the Glass House Tavern before yesterday’s matinee was great. Not crowded when we arrived at 11:45 but even when it was (by 12:30), the noise level was just fine. My Bloody Mary was delicious and my omelette was perfect. And no one rushed us out so we could linger over coffee. Really enjoyed our visit and will definitely be back!!
