This restaurant is definitely a “10” for any foodie, especially if you love Italian cuisine. They check all the boxes from food preparation, presentation , service to the wine selection.

You must put this on your list. Easy walk from The Marriott downtown. The food was as if I stepped back into Florence. The service impeccable. Sean was our server and his recommendations were spot on. My only regret is that I had not experienced Gola before on my frequent trips to Ithaca. I know now where to entertain my business partners for all my future trips to Ithaca.

Food was amazing. Service was disappointing from the moment we walked in. Over 30 minute wait for our table and we had a reservation. Waiter seemed overwhelmed and we relied on our bus boy for help most of the night.

Hidden gem. We made reservations in advance, recommended. Tasty and authentic food. I had the linguine with butternut squash and sundried tomatoes. Delicious. My friend had the gnocchi with a side of meatballs. Authentic and seasoned to want you to eat every bite. The service was excellent and the ambience was exceptional. I am curious if the menu changes seasonally. I definitely will dine there again.

I ordered a special seafood salad and eggplant parmigiana - and both were delicious and beautifully presented.

We had an amazing server in Steve who answered all of our questions with precise details and a tremendous sense of humor. The food was truly mind blowing. One of the tastiest Crostones I have ever had and my wife had delicious octopus. The lamb chops were perfectly cooked (medium rare) and so tasty, yet simple. Steve picked the perfect wine--a Negroamaro that was 12 years old. And it was extremely reasonable. Thank you to Steve and the entire staff of Gola for an extraordinary meal.

Food was truly incredible. Weird location but as soon as you get into the place, the ambiance changes. It's warm and welcoming. Our waiter, however, was very pretentious and rude at times. It seemed that we were bothering them but asking questions about the menu, which is the servers job. Or as if our questions were dumb (asking about what a meal entails because the menu doesn’t have much of a description to which the response was very passive aggressive. There definitely is good staff that works there, as we could jealously hear from the other tables. We just got not so lucky :(
