Solid, everything tasty and we ordered many dishes as the menu is very extensive, everything tasted fresh and our server was very attentive and friendly. Don’t skip the rice pudding. Worth going for the historical experience alone and for when you want to be overwhelmed by seafood choices.

The GCOB is the perfect in its retro vibe that covers several decades. The service is great and the food is great. We will be back anytime that we come to NYC.

Sad to say but the Grand Central Oyster Bar, while iconic, has taken a big step back with the food and service. As a result, it’s a poor value. If you’re still going to eat here, stick to the basics and avoid the overpriced, disappointing fish dishes.

Hostess was absolutely rude but we didn't let let it get us down. The actual servers are super nice and accommodating

Unfriendly waiters, long waiting for the food. Food not made with love. Vegetables not seasoned.

We expected a lot. Instead, got dinner level quality food. Octopus was not seasoned well an not crispy on the outside, risotto was extremely dry like it had been sitting served for a while.

Dinner at Grand Central Oyster Bar before Christmas has been a cherished tradition with my wife for years. We always look forward to NJ oysters and fresh fish. Unfortunately, this year was a disappointment. Service was slow and inattentive—20 minutes to take our order, 25 more for appetizers. Nearly 45 minutes of waiting with no servers in sight. It left us rushing to make our post-dinner plans. Sadly, we’ll be rethinking our holiday tradition next year.
