We had my birthday meal at Guy fawkes Inn york Had the steak with home made chips with pepper corn sauce and was delicious 😋 The service is perfect, friendly and Very attentive. Outside seating is lovely, with heating , cushions and throws for that colder night. We went mid November and was freezing but not in the garden, was very warm and cosy. Definitely looking forwards to our yearly visit next year.

What a wonderful location and atmosphere- the staff were incredibly welcoming and the food and drink was fantastic.

Lovely pub restaurant though the toilets leave something to be desired and it’s a bit of a mission to get past the bar during busy times.

Lovely place to eat and drink in York. Staff were great. Food was outstanding. Would highly recommend.

Lovely return to this pub and restaurant which is full of character. Always popular and busy, which just adds to the charm. We booked a table and had a wonderful meal and outstanding and friendly service. We always return here when we are in York, and we highly recommend it to friends and family. A great experience.

Arrived, ordered drinks and checked in. Bar man a little short as we were 10 mins late , but it took him 5 mins to serve us. Had to be asked to be shown to our table where he didn’t communicate with us. Rest of our visit was exceptional. Waitresses were great food was fantastic

Visited for Sunday lunch. Food wasn't very hot, and table outside didn't help. Roasties need some work. Lovely beef but need a better veggie selection
