Great meal! Started with a poached pear salad, a wonderful, refreshing way to begin. My wife had the yellowedge grouper while I fancied the blackened drum. Both entrees were exceptional. We paired our meal with a stellar pinot from a really nice wine list. Dennis, our server was fantastic. He provided some menu suggestions, which we followed much to our delight. GW Fins is a must each time we visit.

The service and food were amazing. We could not have asked for a better experience. The Scallibut and Center Cut Filet were cooked to perfection. The Bread Pudding was the best I've ever tasted. Totally worth ever the cost. The wait staff were kind and attentive. It was a perfect evening. Thank you GW Fin for an unforgettable meal.

Good food, maybe because it was the end of the night we received lackluster service. We have eaten here before and normally throughly enjoy ourselves but this time left something to be desired.

In a city with fabulous restaurants that every corner GW Finns is always at the top of the list and tonight's meal did not disappoint! Aaron N, our waiter was outstanding in his recommendations ; my dining companion had snapper ceviche, and I had Fin wings as an appetizer, both of which were outstanding and our main courses of grouper and shrimp & pasta were outstanding as well Great tasting sides of crawfish fritters and sweet potato mashed were the best I've ever had . We split bread pudding for dessert because we were so full after eating every bit of our appetizers and main course ;everything about this place is five star and I would recommend it for anybody coming to New Orleans

GW Fin’s never disappoints but this trip was particularly outstanding! My good friend said order the the Scalibut and, man was she right. She is the QUEEN of NOLA. The Sheepshead and the dry aged tuna tomahawk were awesome but the scalibut was number one by far! The lobster dumplings and blue fin tacos stole the appetizer show! Honorable mention to the lobster bisque! Great job by or friends at GW Fins Restaurant with special shout out to Roshaun for great care and service!!

First time here as we are visitors to NOLA. Aaron was an attentive & informative waiter. My husband & I enjoyed the swordfish and daughter had the hake…all fresh & delicious leaving our plates clean. Lively and full restaurant, we felt that we chose well!!

Actually pretty unreal! I love trying new restaurants and finding the best food and experiences. When I came across the large quantity of high reviews for GW Fins I knew it would be good and it was. The food was top notch in flavor, pairing, and plating but the one variable that really sent it next level for me was when they split our dinners for us. They prepared 4 plates for two meals because we got two dishes that we wanted to share. Hands down, that was the most next level thing about the experience. I mean, I’ve had restaurants split plate meals before but not for two separate meals like that. It was as if each plate was prepared with the same love as the other just for the two of us people to experience both dishes equally. They didn’t even know this was the first date and we had just met in person 4 hours prior so them splitting plates was nicer than they even realized. Kinda weird to eat off someone else’s plate that you barely know. I know this sounds simple but the extra effort and attention associated, plus the same high caliber detail, chefs kiss! Each sauce, snap pea, fish cut perfectly in two, and then 4 plates prepared on their own as if they were individually competing on Chef’s Kitchen. I’ll go back purely because those Chef’s, that kitchen, supported by that management to allow such service. Ok, you won me over. And again, food was incredible. I was a little jealous two tables down got a song for their birthday and I didn’t but I was still incredibly grateful for the delicious and generous chocolate written happy birthday plate with a chocolate truffle. Dor was a great server and super attentive. The decor and atmosphere was elegant, refined, and romantic. We loved the white string lights over the windows. I believe the price is extremely generous for the value, beyond fair. We had a wonderful experience on our first date. I would highly recommend.
