I used to love this place but it has gone down on all fronts noticeably. Gone are the days of the Doormen welcoming people to the restaurant and gone are the days of the rest of the staff members being very warm and energetic making you feel like you had just stepped into the ‘place to be’ . It has a vibe of low end now. The last time I was here, admittedly it was some time ago in 2019, the experience was a 5 ⭐️one. All times before that were also very grand. The whole time I was there I kept wishing I had gone someplace else. The servers were hard to understand (they mumbled and had no desire to recommend dishes once asked, etc..) and I had to repeatedly ask for information about the menu. Some staff were just milling about reeking of lackadaisical energy. It is a shame because the food was quite delish for the most part. Unfortunately though the experience was just not what I was accustomed to of years past. This place has lost its luster from the moment of walking through the doors, to the bathrooms which are in need of a revamp, to the exit through those heavy doors onto the sidewalk. I was relieved to just get out of there. The price for a lunch for the two of us was £309.92 (no alcohol!) - a shocking end to a shocking experience.
