   We celebrated my mother’s 70th birthday at Harry’s Savoy Grill, and unfortunately, the experience was underwhelming. The atmosphere was incredibly loud due to an over-served table next to us that didn’t seem to pick up on the fact that everyone was ready for them to leave. From the moment we walked in, I questioned whether we were even at the right place. The stares we received made us feel out of place, as if African Americans dining there was some kind of anomaly — very unsettling and gave off uncomfortable “rally” vibes. As for the food, it was subpar at best. The vegan option was a complete miss — a hollowed-out squash stuffed with bland, under-seasoned beans spilling over the plate. There were no gluten-free pasta options available, and the potatoes I ordered tasted like they were drenched in oil. Definitely not what I would expect from a restaurant marketing itself as upscale. Despite the disappointing experience, I’m glad we were able to enjoy time together as a family to celebrate my mom’s milestone. That said, I won’t be back — and next time, I’ll definitely be digging a little deeper into the reviews before making a reservation.

   We came for lunch. I ordered the prix fixe meal with a salad vert and the tuna which was perfect. Hubby ordered the beef bourguignon that he enjoyed. We split the carrot cake that was part of my meal. It wasn’t too busy in the dining room and we enjoyed the quieter atmosphere. We will be back!

   Another fantastic lunch on the quiet patio on a great warm spring day with my better half! As always - the Lobster and Crab Cake salads were fresh and delicious and the clams casino were amazing. Thank you! I am glad you operate in this area for the last many years!

   Food was good but not plentiful, ordered scallops and shrimp with fingerlings and received 2small scallops and three large shrimp for $50. Taste was good.

    A wonderful evening for a special occasion. Our dinners were delicious and service was excellent. The prime rib and filet were perfect. Even though there were two larger groups near our table it was not too noisy.
