It was fantastic, it always is. Great location, great staff, great food in a really cool underground location. My wife is a vegan so I took my teenage son who loved it. Only, very, very small downside is that a 200ml bottle of coke is £5 and he's a teenager with a coke habit! On the way home we calculated that a gallon of petrol is currently around £6.30 in the UK. A gallon of coke in Hawksmoor is £114.75☺ Moral of the story, stick to the wine - it was gorgeous.

Everyone raves at the sunday lunch - like most sunday lunches it fails to live up to it’s reputation Tough and flavourless beef, reheated and dry yorkshire pudding.. and thin watery gravy ... such a shame ... fact is my roast dinner smashes this on most if not ALL levels ... Service attentive and pleasant

First go at Sunday lunch and a mixed review, meat was good but I think I’d rather have a rib eye steak. Vegetables were mostly good, potatoes a bit too much crunch and not enough potato for my taste, stuffing was excellent as was the sticky toffee pudding. We’re not often in town on a Sunday to have a traditional Sunday lunch and on reflection would rather have a good steak and sides so a good experiment but next time will stick with what we like.

Terrific steaks with a great wine selection. Perfect location for pre-theatre. Not cheap, but worth it.

We loved our lunch yesterday at Hawksmoor for my son's birthday. Seb was immediately greeted with a Happy Birthday as we arrived. Our server Paul was fantastic and my younger son enjoyed the banter with him (as did we all) yet he was also extremely professional and excellent at what he does. Struck the balance perfectly! Food was delicious. Seb loved the Happy 18th Seb message on his plate and secretly enjoyed having the whole restaurant sing him happy birthday! The wrong dessert came out for Seb but this was immediately rectified and we ended up keeping the extra desert at no cost so came out feeling extremely full up! Thank you again- you made Seb's 18th birthday really special.
