   Can’t say enough about the service. Our waiter was very attentive and engaging. We went for Sunday brunch, and all four of us enjoyed our selection.  We were not going to order dessert because two of the party members had gluten or gluten and dairy dietary restrictions. Waiter informed us one dessert that was gluten-free. And when the dessert was served, he brought a bowl of strawberries for the person that was gluten-free and dairy free so she would have dessert as well.  it was a 10 experience for us.

   The ambiance strikes the perfect balance between classic elegance and modern comfort—ideal for both date night and executive dinners. The service was top-tier: attentive without being overbearing, with staff who knew the menu inside and out. We started with the tuna tartare and crispy artichokes—both perfectly executed. The prime ribeye was cooked to perfection, and the lobster mac & cheese was decadent without being too heavy. Every dish was thoughtfully plated and full of flavor. Drinks were just as impressive. Their cocktail program is refined and creative—definitely worth exploring. Hendrick’s doesn’t just serve great food—it delivers a full experience. This place has officially earned a spot on my short list of go-to restaurants.

   Normally, our experience here is fine, we’ve eaten here numerous times, and it is one of our favorite area restaurants. Had today been our first time here - we would never return. Something was clearly off with the service, most notably the food runners. Five of us had brunch, my wife and I, and our 3 adult children. The wait for food was far longer than typical, on a typical Sunday at 12noon. The dining room was not close to being full - multiple open tables including a table set for 14 that was not yet present. So, why the service issue? No apparent reason. The main issue was cold food. Multiple dishes came to the table cold. My huevos rancheros was cold - not lukewarm, cold. The beans were cold, the eggs, the entire dish. How long must a hot skillet dish have sat to get cold to the touch? The Margehrita pizza, cold enough that the cheese had congealed and there was no stringiness whatsoever. My wife’s Eggs Benedict came out incorrectly prepared (asked to substitute English muffin with white toast and it came out on an English muffin, with white toast on the side) and needed to be sent back to the kitchen. But the kicker? I waited approx 25 minutes for anyone to come by with a coffee refill. Finally I had to stop someone to ask for coffee. Now - I’ve never had this happen ever. The coffee was finally poured, ice cold. Have you ever been served cold coffee? At brunch? It makes no sense. I’ll hope this is a one-off. It was pretty awful.

   I ordered the scallops and they were not the size or quality I expected, but they were good. The short ribs were a hit, dessert was ok. The cheesecake was dense. Overall the ambiance is wonderful and great service.

    It was a perfect evening. From start to finish. The food and service were top notch as always. The back room for our large party was perfect. Was not noisy and the music was great.
