Housed in two of Vancouver’s most iconic buildings, Homer St Cafe and Bar is a contemporary restaurant set in the base of the historic Homer Building and the Beasley building in Vancouver’s Yaletown district.
Classic comfort cooking takes center stage thanks to a fire engine red rotisserie that roasts all manner of proteins. It’s chicken that’s the star here: served in quarter, half or whole portions, accompanied by classic sides basted in jus.
A decidedly adventurous wine and cocktail list rounds out the menu. The restaurant features two spaces that consist of an open concept kitchen “Chef’s Bar” where one can get up close and personal with the culinary team, a semi private dining room with reclaimed factory windows, and bespoke seating complemented by antique tiling.

Dinner was perfect. Food and wine were delicious as usual. Chicken, brisket and ribs - so good. Stand out for the night was the exceptional service. We can’t think of a better experience. 21 years living in Vancouver and this was hands down the best dining experience. Thanks to the whole team - with special thanks to our server for making my birthday the best night out.

All four of us had the clam chowder, found it to be very watery and quite tasteless. The BLT was good but we all thought you could have included your rotisserie chicken on it, and then could call it a 'clubhouse'

Good food and cozy atmosphere. We were celebrating two birthdays and nothing special was provided to celebrate. Not even a candle for the tarts we ordered.

The restaurant was very noisy on entering but the hostess found a quieter spot and turned down the music. This helped tremendously. We enjoyed our friends and the food.

Amazing! The brisket and Alabama sauce was perfect, the cauliflower was delightful, the biscuits were unbelievable and the gnocchi was delicious. Would definitely go again! Our server (I think named Cord?) was perfection. Thank you!!

Our food was amazing. I had the daily special sandwich which was the chicken dip sandwich and my friends both had the burger. They repeatedly said it was the best burger they had and my sandwich was great. Service was definitely on the slower side. It took a longer time to get our orders in and get our food but otherwise a great spot.

6/5 star! Best meal on our trip to Vancouver. The food while common and familiar elsewhere was perfectly executed and beat any expectations (which were already high going in). Our server was lovely! Attentive, professional and genuinely kind, the type of person who carries hospitality in his genes. Great space, happy to have ended up here. Thank you!
