IL Cortile has been family owned and run since 1975. A neighborhood staple in the heart of Little Italy, NYC for over 40 years the Esposito family continues the tradition of sparing nothing to provide only the highest quality ingredients in all Cortile dishes.
We are a full Service Restaurant Establishment offering both A-La-Carte dining and a wide variety of pre-fix menus for group gatherings as well as off premise catering. We can accommodate gluten free and vegan diets. Everything is made to order.

My friend and I visited this place to celebrate her birthday, as we both love Italian food. We were impressed by the excellent service and delicious food, and we especially appreciated how the staff sang a birthday song for my friend. Francisco V., our server, was amazing. He answered all our questions, provided great recommendations, and made our experience more enjoyable. I’ll be recommending this place to others!

Best authentic Italian restaurant in Little Italy. We eat here every time we're in New York. Chicken bowtie pasta dish is exceptional.

They served pig intestine when we ordered calamari. The remaining appetizers were very disappointing and small portions. They also listed "fried mozzarella," but actually served a very expensive disappointing grilled greasy mozzarella cheese (one) sandwich cut in half with no taste. We were to be a group of ten, but they set us up at a table in a small alcove for 8 where the chairs didn't have enough room to fit under the table. We eventually had nine people and we coped. with the tight space. I do not recommend this place.

As always my dinner at Il Cortile was excellent. I have never had a bad meal here. I had the Pollo alla Francese. The chicken was perfectly cooked and the sauce was delicious. The service was welcoming and professional. I always choose this restaurant when I invite guests to dinner because I know we will be treated well and have a delicious dinner.

Our experience here was wonderful! Not only was the food delicious but the service was impeccable. We were able to sit at the window, which added to the experience. Would absolutely return.

I’m from Europe and the employee try to charge me with a extra fee for paying with card, and when i payed with money he was trying again to charge me with that fee card and he was very Rude! Although the tips are not mandatory and we gave what we could (10 dólares) and even so he was very rude. Not coming Back !
