   Our group of ladies enjoyed our lunch, the flavours were wonderful and our waitress was very accommodating and efficient. We would definitely go back to II Postino’s in Unionville!

   I went last evening with Friends and not knowing there was an upstairs when I made the reservation, We were seated upstairs. I would have made the reservation for downstairs if I had known. Upstairs was not cozy compared to when I came in. I mentioned to hostess and she accommodated and set us up downstairs which I very much appreciated. The food was absolutely excellent. Service was impeccable and always on point. Ambiance was much cozier downstairs and will make request for there in the future. Will definitely be back.

   Very good food - seafood linguine was a weekday treat. Friendly and efficient service. I’d certainly go back if in the area.

   Service and food were excellent. However the menu has not been changed for a few years. Hope they will have a new menu soon.

   We were a party of 4 and had an absolutely wonderful experience thanks to the chef but also to our server Michelle who was friendly, attentive and just an overall joy! Thank you for a fantastic evening!!

   Il Postino is one of our favourite Italian restaurant and we have been here a few times now. We always make a reservation because we onow it gets really busy. This past Thursday, we arrived and was seated at the very corner against the wall. The restaurant was not busy maybe due to the fact that is was Thursday. I asked if we can change table as i saw a few empty tables but for 4. The Receptionist said sorry we are full so we sat in the corner agains the wall. My husband is 6 feet tall and he said i can’t eat with the wall hitting his elbow as it was tight. He got up and asked if we can be moved and he was told to wait. The same receptionist came and said follow me upstairs.. again she was putting us agains the wall while i pointed at a few empty tables by the window but for 4.. we were ready to leave but the waiter John said, it’s ok to sit by the window. We ordered and the food took up the whole table and my husband said it’s good we have a big table coz the table for 2 would not have fit all the food we ordered. We ate for about 2 hrs and the restaurant did not fill up. The table downstairs by the stairs that i originally pointed at was still empty. We love the food and service at Il Postino but due to that incident, we will have to look elsewhere for another Italian restaurant as it put a dampen on our nearly perfect evening.

   Food was delicious, hands down one of the best Italian spots in Markham! The kitchen got our grilled octopus mixed up with seafood grill but our server was nice enough to give us the dish for the same price. I only realized how big the difference was after leaving…I should’ve tipped more in hindsight!

    We ordered the Sea Bass but the temperature was a little cold, but overall the food is good, especially the tiramisu. And Server Jay T has an excellent service.
