We just moved back to Greensboro and Imperial Koi used to be one of our favorite restaurants in Greensboro. We may have caught them on a bad night and based on our experience I doubt we will be back. Service was disappointing. Our server was not attentive. It took a very long time for our food to arrive (I realize this is not the servers fault) and we during this time we did not see our server with several of us needing refills on our water. After we finished and were ready to leave we waited for over 10 minutes for our server to clear the table and she never appeared. We finally had to ask another server to please let our server know we were ready for our check. My wife and I both had hibachi dishes. She had the shrimp and I had the filet. The filet was well prepared though under seasoned with little or no flavor. Thank goodness for the dipping sauces. My wife’s dish was very good and she enjoyed it.

Love the food, service and atmosphere at Imperial Koi. My only complaint is the blowing of the AC over the table on a cold day! Great place for lunch or dinner.

This was 30th visit to Imperial Koi. We had the gyoza and a sushi roll for appetizer. Both were excellent. I had the Peking Duck, which was was outstanding. My wife had the Happy Family and she said it was great also. This is our go-to restaurant. Never had a single bad experience in all our many visits over the past 10 years dining here.

We went as a party of 8 to Imperial Koi for a double birthday celebration. We understand that with larger parties the service is slower, but our waitress just didn't seem to care. Drinks took 25 minutes to come out, the food, though delicious, came out piece meal with 2 people receiving their food 30 minutes before the rest of us. As is normal, the gratuity was added automatically because of the party size, but it felt like the server put 0 effort in because she already knew she was getting 20%.

Went back to Imperial Koi since Mizumi was closed. The appetizers are good, sushi is okay compared to Mizumi, and the hot dishes are excellent. Overall had a good experience but the value is not there.
