   I was less than pleased with the food. It was a price fixed menu, and quite frankly, the steak was average.

   Food was outstanding , service was excellent and overall experience was great! However, the interior for my taste was too dark and dimmed. I prefer lots of lights , open shades and brightness. But if you like darker shades and dimmed lighting then it’s a must go place.

   The service was great: the waiter was friendly and professional and the wait staff worked together nicely to ensure that we always had fresh water in our glasses. However, the menu was lacking variety; in fact, there was only one pasta dish available and it was unclear as to whether gluten-free would be available (via the menu). I would have liked to have seen more gluten-free dishes and/or the ability and/or open willingness to prepare menu items differently to cater to customers who might have food allergies. The portion sizes were small: despite the high prices of the entrees. We enjoyed the size and taste of our desserts, but would have rather had had larger entrees to have satisfied us. Needless to say, as first time visitors, we enjoyed the low lighting and "trendiness" of the venue, but we won't be returning to Insignia: due to the small portions and exhorbitantly high prices. Also, the restaurant ran out of a particular cut of meat that my husband had wishes to order, which was also disheartening. Many locals had recommended this restaurant to us, but we left feeling confused about all of the hype. Portion size really does matter. We don't mind paying higher prices to account for the elegant atmosphere; however, as guests, we left the restaurant feeling hungry, which shouldn't generally happen after a successful visit.

   Food, ambiance, and service was AMAZING!! Alex was so incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. We had a wonderful evening and can’t wait to come back!
