Delicious! Well priced. The smoked ribs were outstanding. Service was excellent and recommendations were wonderful. The salmon sushi and black sesame noodles were wonderful and complimented each other very well. The ambience was wonderful, very peaceful and an excellent experience after the spa.

As always, we loved our experience at Izunami! Pablo took great care of our party of 4. We enjoyed the wine, food, atmosphere, view - just everything. The hamachi sashimi was amazing as were the roasted mushrooms and everything else we tried. We highly recommend this beautiful setting and yummy food.

In the past, dining at Izanami was always a pleasure. Today both the food and the service were poor. The lunch menu had far less interesting choices than in the past, and many of them were highly spiced- great if you can eat spice but one of our party could not. We usually order an array of dishes, but there weren't enough interesting ones to do that. So I ordered the hamburger, which is always a treat. It was a tiny, overdone patty with some cheese and caramelized onions, on a huge dry bun. There wasn't even any soy sauce on the table to try to moisten it. I saw some one at the bar with a hamburger that had lettuce on it, which would have helped if it had been offered. The fries were soggy, greasy, and had too much hot spice. I ordered the pear tart for dessert and ate just a few bites, so I asked for it to be packed to take home. When I got home, the once beautiful tart was upside down in the box, lying in a pool of melted ice cream. It felt, pardon the expression, like some one giving me the finger- so disrespectful. Who puts ice cream in with a pastry in a leftover box? My lunch partner called the restaurant after we got home to complain and was treated very rudely. What ever happened to the legendary hospitality and fun that once characterized Izanami? I understand that a new chef is coming in a couple of weeks. Hopefully both the food and the service will improve. But for now, I'm in mourning for the old, hospitable, fun, delicious experience that Izanami once was.

Victor, our server, and Gracie, the host, went over and above for us. We had a quick bite after soaking in the spa. And wow, it was worth it. So good.

Izanamii never fails to wow our out-of-town guests. Those who have experienced Japan say that the food is very much on a part with the very best of Japanese cuisine.

Another wonderful meal at izanami! I was impressed by the crispy spicy salmon “roll” and my kids loved the ishiyaki hot stone so much we had to get two… the service was less enticing and it was clear that the shift swap was in progress. Still, I recommend it for anyone, any time of day.

Another outstanding meal! Highlights were the pork belly tacos - delicious and complex flavors. Steak bibimbop meat was so tender and fun to eat. Surprise hit was the beet and shiso croquettes with curry sauce. We tried the pannacotta for dessert. Served deconstructed with the custard, separate sauce, separate almond shortbread, and separate fig compote. This was hard to orchestrate a perfect bite guessing how to balance all the components. Overall great as usual!
