   They made our anniversary dinner very special and had such attentive staff with positive energy and enthusiasm. Their food is always spot on and we really enjoyed ourselves. My girlfriend and I felt very welcomed and safe.

   After many times dining at this restaurant I have to say our server was not up to their standard. He was not very friendly, got my order incorrect and left our table dirty and then served dessert on it! Also we were celebrating a birthday and did not mention it or put a candlel in my husbands dessert. Will think twice about coming back after two decades of dining there.

   Can’t beat this place, best steak for a great price. J Gilbert’s is my first choice whenever I’m craving a steak. Never been disappointed.

   The food is very good. We had apps at the bar. Disappointed that the sliders are still off the menu and the calamari is not as good as it was before the menu change last year. Dinner is good and steaks include 2 sides which is a good value. One thing that I want to mention. We had purchased gift cards around the holidays and received an additional $20 card to use with a food purchase over $20. Because we ordered the steak and seafood special that was offered last night, when we went to pay the check we were told we could not use the $20 extra gift card because the steak and seafood plate was a special. I understand that is one of the conditions with the card, however, when you order three of those entrees, along with desserts and coffees, and the check is $200, we were surprised that we could not use the card. So I expect it will go to waste and will make us rethink buying cards in the future. There are a few other places that offer similar specials when buying gift cards during the holiday time, and they have almost no restrictions on using their card other than using it for food versus drinks. Not sure why JGilbert is so restrictive with their cards.
