   As always Jakes never disappoints As palm springs best restaurant we had an amazing dinner Service outstanding Cocktails exciting Food.scrumptious Calamari to start. Crab cakes Chicken piccata. Perfect like i was in rome Fetttucine bolognese. Like i was in florence Ty Jakes Ps new reno place looks amazing

   Good meal, however we were seated in the front room with the door open. It got a bit chilly before we were finished.

   Wonderful to see the expanded areas at Jake's. And to see how well they blend with the existing places. New host area is especially welcome. The lanai's improvements are great, too. Attentive service and friendly folks.

   We were seated in the "indoor dining" area as it was cool out. This area was minimalist and not upscale as the restaurant portrays itself. A lack of ambiance was notable. The outdoor areas are much nicer and recommended. Food was mixed. Good sauces on entrees. Calamari was just OK, needed more creativity and flavors. Cocktails were the best part of this expensive dinner. Service was OK, and she came quickly for drinks and appetizer orders. Apps came very fast but drinks didn't arrive until we finished our apps. We had to seek out our server to order dinner. Not much follow-up during the meal. All in all, too expensive for what we got - won't be going back.

   A Palm Springs favorite and the new owners have renovated AND expanded the restaurant to add more tables. Much improved use of available space. Quaint outdoor patio with a seven seat bar which is great for pre-dinner cocktails and dining off the full menu. Ms. Nada (behind the bar) has worked there for five years, is absolutely delightful, mixes perfect cocktails and delivers warm and friendly service.

   Jake's is a comfortable local place with popular outdoor seating. It is, however, rather expensive for lunch and 1 cocktail. For 2 people, the check came to $100 for sandwiches & and an alcoholic drink each. I can go to Spencer's for a full 3 course meal for that price.

   Sat on front patio in evening which was nice and quiet. We were in a bit of a hurry which servers (and hostesses) were helpful about with getting drinks and food out fast. The apps were great - especially the cauliflower and Brussel sprouts! I had the petite filet mignon (VERY petite!) which comes with a large wedge salad side. Great desserts! All around great and reliable comfort food. Will definitely come back!

   Had a fantastic meal at Jake’s! The food was delicious! The staff was helpful. Our only suggestion is that we sat in the new area once owned by the Frippery and the restaurant definitely needs a rug or something to absorb the sound. It has tile floors and glass walls and it was extremely loud. It seems an easy fix but one that would greatly enhance the dining experience in that room. Otherwise, it was phenomenal!

   Jake’s has expanded but kept its charm. We are lucky to have such a neighborhood gem in rapidly growing Palm Springs.

    We had a late reservation and ended up sitting in one of the dining rooms alone. In hindsight, I wish we had asked to be seated in a more common area, which was bustling and fun. Other than that, the food was very good (other than having to ask for extra Beurre Blanc Sauce for our Chicken) - the Crab Cakes were amazing - and the drinks were very good.
