Jake's is a casual, upscale European-style bistro nestled in a secluded courtyard at the epicenter of the Mid-Century Uptown design district of Palm Springs. Much like the architectural and style artisans that surround it, Jake’s takes cues from the past with a nod to the future in the kitchen and behind the bar. Classics are given a surprising twist while new flavor combinations excite the palate. Likewise wines come to us from both New and Old worlds. Of course, save room for something from our signature dessert case! Since 2007, Jake’s has offered al fresco dining as well as seating in our cozy dining room. So join our friendly, approachable and knowledgeable staff for lunch, dinner, or weekend brunch!

First, Jake’s was always one of our favorite places in Palm Springs. Was, because something is going on. Restaurants need to either take a credit card to assure people making their reservation or only accept the number of reservations that they can reasonably handle. Our reservation was at 7:15 which we were on time for. The problem was, everybody else must have had the same reservation time or they were letting walk-ins as well because it was chaos! We finally were seated at 8:15 pm in an area not that we had reserved for. It was so loud that we could not hear anything. My husband asked if there was anywhere else that we could sit - didn’t care where. We did get another table which was fine and finally was waited on and dinner around 9 pm. There were so many people and their dogs waiting to eat and no organization of any kind. We almost just left but just waited it out. Again, we made this reservation several weeks ago to assure a place to eat. Please get things straightened out or you won’t need to worry about people even wanting to eat there.

The restaurant seemed overwhelmed. Sat 15 minutes late. Waited 15 minutes to be asked for a drink order. Food came and it was lukewarm warm to cold. Didn’t live up to past experiences.

I got there early and checked in. We ended up waiting 45 minutes for a table while guest arriving after us were seated first. Once we were eventually seated we were told we had to wait until a Menus became available. We ordered and it took a longer than expected time for us to get our cocktails and dinner. However once we got the drinks and food they were delicious.

Great food. Sadly our waitress was very rushed. Wont even look at you. Very abrupt. Sadly she was not a match for this restaurant. Everyone else were attentive and nice.

Fabulous sea bass. First one was not warm but sent it back and the product was excellent.
