We really enjoyed our Valentines Day dinner! Delicious prefix menu, great drinks, and great service. The free rose was a sweet touch.

This was a special Valentine’s Day menu. The chef made accommodations for my shellfish allergy with a delicious melon gazpacho. We both ordered the veal and venison. Excellent! The wine pairings were good as well. Especially the Cabernet with the main course.

Food under the “new” chef Sergio Howland (who has been here 6 mo now) is great.

An elegant and tasteful venue with farm to table dishes. My husband and I came into town for a night and were treated like family regardless of us being the last seated reservation for the night. The drinks were excellent paired with the cuisine with views, although seen in the night, were truly to admire. We’ll definitely be back again, as it was the perfect date to celebrate.

Ongoing construction and lunch menu only! NOT as represented on website. No mention of restricted menu when making reservations. Over $200 for 4 hamburgers!!

I love going to John Ash. I have never had bad service. Either at the bar or the dinning room. The food is great. They have awesome happy hour. And the drinks are amazing.

The menu had very few selections compared to what we are used to with John Ash. What we did get was good.

This has long been one of our go-to restaurants for special occasions—but that seems to be over. Our first clue was the “temporary all-day menu,” only offering a half dozen or so main dishes, plus appetizers and desserts. I thought they’d given us the lunch menu, but the server apologetically told us they’re going through “some changes” and this was all they offer. The main dishes included tacos, a burger, a pasta dish, a chicken dish, cioppino, short ribs and a steak. That’s pretty much it. My wife went with the short ribs, which were served on polenta with a reduction sauce that overwhelmed the entire dish and was definitely not to our tastes. I had the steak, which came with a side of fries. It was fine, but certainly nothing special. Like they told us, “change is coming.” Sadly, it seems not for the better.

The food and service were both good however the menu and atmosphere were underwhelming compared with past experiences at this restaurant.

There was no one there at 1 pm on a Saturday. Maybe 3 small groups in a place with 30+ tables. Might be because the menu was mainly egg dishes, al la breakfast fare. Mussels and a burger were the only lunch items. Wish we had chosen someplace else for a special lunch. The sauce for the mussels was delicious and the mussels tasted very fresh. I'm concerned that such a beautiful place is being mismanaged so no one is showing up.
