Joule, the first restaurant from celebrated husband and wife cooking team Rachel Yang and Seif Chirchi, is re-located in October, 2012 to the innovative, newly developed the Fremont Collective in Seattle’s Wallingford/Fremont neighborhood. From its original opening in 2007, Joule has cultivated a loyal dining fan base and captured the attention of an admiring local and national media captivated by the couple’s unique, modern perspective on Korean cuisine. Joule, the mature sibling to Yang and Chirchi’s restaurant, Revel, highlights Korea’s love of beef featuring unconventional cuts accompanied by distinctive and shareable side dishes.

Joule takes reservations for 1.75-3 hour time slots (depending on party size). We do our best to accommodate as many guests as possible and ask that you are considerate of other diners at the end of your meal. If you feel that your party requires more time, please let us know in the notes and we will get back to you with our available accommodations.

The blush chicory salad personally did not mesh well with the other courses and tasted very earthy. The duck jook was also tough.

The rice cakes are a staple and delicious as always, the Muscovy duck was new as was the winter root vegetables, which were both excellent. Don't sleep on the sauces they are each nestled in, it takes these 2 dishes to the next level.

Joule is a special place! A beautiful ambience and welcoming staff. A great date night or nice treat to yourself any day of the week. The food is delicious, and the drinks are the cherry on top. My wife and I shared the New York strip steak—it was cooked to perfection. The scallop fried rice was full of flavor and the scallops were fresh. The carrot girum was AWESOME. PACKED WITH FLAVOR. The black sesame mochi cake was really good also. As for drinks. I highly recommend the peach picante, pear cardamon and the lychee drink. All very flavorful and

We were seated next to a very loud party of 4 or 6? I didn’t really look to see how many but the noise was going to be an issue for us, so we moved to the bar. Less crowded and we could hear each other. Food, bartender, cocktails and staff were fantastic.

Great menu. Each item both familiar yet with a unique take using Korean flavors , all made for sharing. The wait staff was nice and well educated on the dishes, and the open kitchen showed chefs having fun. However at the prices they are charging they should invest in some improvements to the space. It was much too loud in there because they have no sound absorbing panels like most upscale restaurants. It was also drafty with very cold gusts of wind. If I'm going to spend >$100 per person and 90minutes for all the courses, I expect not to be sitting in a garage.

Excellent meal again. Forgot to take photos but we had the Steak Tartare, beef short rib, burger, spicy rice cake with chorizo, scallop fried rice and Chinese broccoli. It was all very delicious! The steak tartare could have been a little bit lighter on the pine nuts and with more Asian pear so you can taste the meat better, but it was still tasty. All the flavors worked nicely. For me the stand out dishes of the night was the spicy rice cake with chorizo, the scallop fried rice, the short ribs and the Chinese broccoli with walnut pesto. The service was excellent, attentive and friendly and we had a lovely night out.

The place never disappoints on the food and service! Ate over half the menu it feels like everything from the veggie dish to the delicious meats & seafood entrees were to perfection. Still best menu in Seattle area without a doubt!
