First time there. Will be back again, our serve was very attentive the food came out in perfect timing. Everything tasted fresh.

I visited Jue Lan Club on Galentine’s Day (2/13/25) with my friend after a movie, and I was excited to introduce her to a spot I used to love. Unfortunately, this visit was nothing like my past experiences—honestly, it was terrible. Let’s start with the food. The oxtail, spicy crab, and lobster tacos were delicious, but the lobster and crab still had shells, which was frustrating. I had to keep spitting out bits of shell, which took away from the enjoyment. Now, the service? Not great at all. But the biggest issue—one that needs to be addressed ASAP—is the overwhelming smell of weed. As soon as we walked in, it hit us, and it only got worse. The smell traveled from upstairs into the downstairs dining areas, making the experience incredibly uncomfortable. When did smoking inside restaurants become acceptable again? As a non-smoker, it was off-putting, and bringing my friend here for the first time made it even more embarrassing. It felt classless and unprofessional. Jue Lan Club used to have a chic, sophisticated vibe, but now it feels more like a rundown, smoky lounge than the upscale spot it once was. If this is becoming a smoker-friendly establishment, they should make that clear so customers can decide if they want to dine there. Sadly, this place has lost its charm, and I won’t be returning anytime soon. Wouldn’t recommend it especially if you’re looking for a classy dining experience.

Our party of 5 enjoyed our NY Restaurant Week lunch experience. Only complaint is the music they blast at this restaurant…way too loud. It just feels they are playing it for the staff and not the customers. Sorry!

The food was great , the ambience was great but the attentiveness to the large group we had was lacking and for such a big party we were sat in the front where it was very cold because we were in front of the door. Not the best seating

Menu was extensive but each item was not the standard version of what’s typically known. For example the satay are bright orange fried in Cheetos maybe? But it doesn’t say that. They were not a true satay. The piña coladas were undrinkable, fried rice was good, lo mein was quite literally spaghetti tossed with soy sauce, edamame was fine, dumplings pretty good. All in all, it wasn’t horrible, but probably wouldn’t go back.
