   We got there 10 minutes prior to 5:00 and they made us stay outside in the cold until 5:00 I think they could have let us in just get out of the cold

   We love this restaurant! Drinks are on point, service is wonderful (even when they are busy) and everything we’ve ever ordered for dinner has been special. Chilean Seabass is out of this world! Every time we’re in Southlake Tahoe, we eat at Kalani’s once if not twice and we are never disappointed.

   We absolutely love dining at Kalani's. The service is great and the food amazing. The fried ahi appetizer is so delicious. Ask for extra sauce...it is thick, sweet and tasty. The crabcakes are the best is all of Tahoe! The sashimi hamachi from the raw menu is perfect for a meal or appetizer to share. My husband's go to is the Kalani Roll when we aren't having the sea scallops or chilean sea bass. We typically share the Kalani's spin on Caesar Salad. It is large and could be a meal in itself with the addition of blackened shrimp (may favorite). We try to frequent South Lake Tahoe at least 4 times per year. Kalani's is a must for us.

    My party of three all had fish dishes. I had the medley, my wife the Salmon and our guest had the fresh Mahi Mahi! All were excellent. Before dinner I had a house Martini...shaken...3 olives at their bar...best ever! Dining at Kalani's is a real dining experience!
