Located in Pittsburgh’s Strip District, Kaya is a casual, island-inspired restaurant with colorful mosaics, tribal art and exposed brick walls that whisks customers away to exotic shores as they walk through the door. Kaya serves both traditional island dishes and American favorites with an island twist. Tropas (tropical tapas) sandwiches and entrees are all made with local ingredients and bold flavors. And with its classic preparations paired with exciting seasonal offerings, Kaya’s tropical cocktail list is like a vacation in a glass.

    This is one of our go-to restaurants when visiting Pittsburgh. From the cocktails (treat yourself to the banana rum old fashioned) to the food. We’ve never had a bad experience here.

    We had another* wonderful dinner and night out at Kaya! Classic place and food that never disappoints! We loved the Jerk Wings, Salmon Salad and Flank Steak ---- Great vibe, great service, and great flavors!

    My friends and I had a wonderful time at Kaya. The atmosphere was great. Not too loud even though the place was full. The food was very tasty and the service was great. I loved the Brunch beef Birria sandwich!

    The food was pretty unremarkable and seriously overpriced… A meal for three people, one of which was a child was over $100 and frankly not even that good. The fried chicken was dry, and the rest of the food was mediocre at best. The server was OK, but not especially friendly, and very strict about their rules… For example, nonalcoholic drinks do not Get happy hour discounts… Which is kind of ridiculous. Won’t be going back.
